Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Watchlog Uptime ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service").

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use Watchlog Uptime. For questions, contact [email protected].

Data We Collect

  • Account data: If you create an account, we may collect identifiers such as your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (e.g., email, name, profile picture) as permitted by you and Google.
  • Monitoring configuration: The monitors you create and manage (for example: target URL/host, protocol selection such as HTTPS/PING/PORT, check interval, alert rules, and webhook endpoints you configure).
  • Monitoring results & performance data: Check outcomes including status (up/down), HTTP status codes (when applicable), response time/latency, success/error counts, timestamps, and diagnostic error messages returned by the target or network.
  • Push notification tokens: Device notification tokens used to deliver alerts (e.g., via Firebase Cloud Messaging). We do not use these tokens for advertising.
  • Webhook delivery metadata: Delivery status, timestamps, response codes, and limited error details when sending webhook alerts, to help you troubleshoot and to maintain reliability.
  • Device & app data: App version, device model, OS version, language, and basic diagnostics/logs related to crashes or reliability (if enabled on your device).
  • Billing & subscriptions: Subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. We may receive non-sensitive purchase metadata (e.g., subscription status, product ID, renewal/expiry timestamps) to activate your plan.
  • Support communications: Messages you send to support and any information you choose to include.

How We Use Data

  • Provide and operate the Service (create monitors, run checks, display charts and history).
  • Send alerts (push notifications and webhooks) when your monitors change state or meet conditions.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and protect the Service (e.g., rate limiting, fraud prevention).
  • Process subscriptions and entitlements (activate plan features such as 1-minute interval or webhooks).
  • Improve reliability and user experience (debugging, crash analysis, performance improvements).
  • Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Sharing & Third Parties

We share information only as needed to provide the Service:

  • Infrastructure & hosting: Servers, databases, and storage providers that run the Service.
  • Push notifications: Providers such as Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver alerts.
  • Payments: Google Play processes subscription payments. We receive limited purchase status information.
  • Your configured webhooks: If you enable webhooks, we send payloads to endpoints you specify. You control those endpoints and their privacy practices.
  • Legal: If required by law, regulation, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as contractual protections) to support international transfers.

Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Monitoring history retention may vary by plan and settings. We may retain limited logs for security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information, such as encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your Choices

  • You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
  • You can delete monitors or disable alerts at any time.
  • You can unsubscribe via Google Play subscriptions settings.
  • You can request account deletion by contacting support.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

Children's Privacy

Watchlog Uptime is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
